I am here again in strong support of bills 226 & 227 "Lava Kuakini", affordable housing.
I am a "Kama aina" of Kona, a proud Konawaeana graduate. I still reside here today with
my husband "Kama aina" & two children also "Kama aina". Both my husband & I have
established our careers in Kona.
My husband & I were ready to purchase a home in Kona unfortunately the prices
skyrocked and we no longer qualify for the high price of homes in Kona today.
More & more long time Kona residence that I know have moved out of state due to
unaffordable homes. It's so sad to not see these long time Kona residence around.
It's the current Local Kona residences that need this affordable housing, so we can stay
here in Kona where we "Began" and where we "Belong".
Much of your "Aloha Spirit" is needed for your vote to say YES!
