I am writing with regard to Bill 246 concerning subdivision. I suggest that the matter before
the council requires some common sense.
While the present law requires very detailed information for the submittal of a proposed
subdivision, it does not seem reasonable for a developer to expend the funds just for a
preliminary review. Maybe the process can be altered, to allow the current practices to exist
as a preliminary submittal, if the preliminary submittal is approved, then the developer would
be required to abide by the existing laws concerning subdivision planning.
This seems like a more reasonable approach instead of extreme.
