Dear Council Members:
I oppose Bill 246 and urge you to do the same. The County has acted in
violation of the law for nearly 30 years, and changing the law now will not make it
right. This is no different than the Hokulia debacle that was caused strictly by
ignoring existing laws. Acknowledge the errors and deal with it. The original
laws requiring full disclosure and all information were enacted for a reason.
Perhaps if those laws had been followed, we wouldn't be in our current
situation.
