Dear Mr. Higa and Members:
I urge you and your colleagues to vote no on bill 268.
There are Council and Committee meeting in Kona as well as Video Conferencing from
Kona to the Hilo Council Chambers. I feel that Council Member Pilago didn't take into
consideration the cost, the move of Council staff and the equal access of east Hawaii. I
know that he didn't speak to the people that do the work. I feel that this is a political
move to get reelected. Mr. Pilago should come up with a real plan, which would work
with staff, find where the money will come from and how east Hawaii will be hook-up to
the video conferencing.
I feel that this is Mr. Pillage's bill and he should come up with the answers, not the
people that will be force to do the work. And more creative then saying I will use district
allowance. That will not be enough to cover 12 committee and council meetings. Be
real.
