Dear Hawaii County Council Members,
We are writing this message to ask for your support on Bill 268.
We are Kona coffee farmers who are very concerned about how rapidly Kona is growing and how that growth can
be managed to maintain Kona's quality of life.
Unfortunately, we have already seen degradation in the lifestyle in the Kona community. You have heard it all: the
lack of infrastructure, the lack of affordable housing, the lack of community spirit.
We strongly believe that Kona residents will take a more active part in their community if more Council meetings
are held in Kona.
We understand that some Council Members may experience some difficulty in traveling to Kona more frequently.
Please consider you are doing this for the benefit of the people you represent and they will certainly appreciate
your efforts.
Please vote for Bill 268 to give the people of Hawaii a voice in their community.
