Dear Mr. Higa:
We, the undersigned, would like to register our strong opposition to the charter amendment which
calls for and equal number of meetings between East and West Hawaii. The present set up is fair
and should be kept in tact.
The County Council will take up Bill 268 on First Reading on May 17, 2006. We urge you and
your colleagues to please, please, please ----vote NO. Four meetings on the West side during the
year is more than enough. Also, video conferencing is available in Kona and Waimea to
accommodate those who prefer NOT to drive in to Hilo to testify.
