Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Patrick S.
Masutomi of Kona, to the Hawaii County Board of Ethics, to
replace Aileen Lum of Hilo, whose term will end on
December 31, 1997.
Mr. Masutomi is a life-time resident of Hawaii and is presently
retired. Prior to his retirement, he was the Regional
Vice-President with the American Savings Bank (1972-1997). He
is the Treasurer of the Konawaena Booster Club, and in the
past, belonged to several community organizations in the Kona
area. He is not a member of any political party.
If approved, Mr. Masutomi will serve a term to end December 31,
2002. Should the Council require further information regarding
this submission, you may call me at you convenience.
