SUBJECT: Proposed Bill 246, Draft 4 - Amendment to Certain Sections of Chapter 23
(Subdivision Code) Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition)
Attached for the Council's favorable consideration at its June 5, 2006 meeting is
proposed Bill 246, Draft 4, which reinserts the words "AND STREET" in the title of the bill.
These two words were inadvertently left out of the title in Draft 3 of Bill 246, transmitted on
May 8, 2006. Draft 4 is identical to Draft 3, except for this correction to the title of the bill.
Drafts 3 and 4 delete the Planning Department's proposed amendments to section 23-50
of the Subdivision Code relating to "grades and curves" in its entirety. As a result, section 23-50
of the Subdivision Code relating to "grades and curves" will remain unchanged.
I would like to recommend that the Council file Bill 246, Draft 3, and consider Bill 246,
Draft 4 at its June 5, 2006 meeting.
