An amendment also deleted the $1.5 million West Hawaii composting facility. These changes are all poor public policy. The fact that many East Hawaii residents are unaware of them may have led the Council to the erroneous conclusion that we don't care about these issues. My own Councilman, Dr. Fred Holschuh, continues to tell his constituents he supports public land purchases in our district when he voted to remove funds for that purpose. What the Tribune Herald refuses to do, the "coconut wireless" will remedy. Do not expect your insult to our intelligence to remain under the radar.
