No. J 2 Ref. 70: Re#• dote- J ii i~~( County of Hawaii Waste Reduction Facility Design-Build-Operate Monthly Update -June 16, 2006 ¦ Solicitation Documents R.W. Beck furnished copies of the most recent Volume I of the Stage 2 RFP to County staff for review and is in the process of receiving and incorporating County comments. Volume III (Technical Appendices to the Service Contract) is currently being reviewed by the consultants and will subsequently be given to County staff for review. Once drafts of the three volumes (including the draft Service Contract) aze completed by the team and approved by the County, they will be sent to the short-listed Proposers for comment. Any meaningful comments from the Proposers that are approved by the team will be incorporated and the Final Stage 2 RFP will then be issued. R.W. Beck has also contacted staff at HELCO to begin coordination of work and to ensure that interconnection can be made with the Waste Reduction Facility. ¦ Contract Preparation Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP continues to prepare a draft Service Contract (Volume II of the Stage 2 RFP). ¦ Environmental Impact Statement /EISPN The second EISPN Public Meeting was held at 6 PM on May 17, 2006 in Hilo and the public comment period (initiated on May 8th) ended on June 7, 2006. The three resulting comment letters will be answered in early July. Presentations and Workshops The team anticipates a meeting with the Council Environmental Committee regarding the Stage 2 RFP on August 22, 2006. • Project Schedule Based on the adjustment of intermediate milestones, the overall schedule has shifted slightly. The anticipated contract execution date has moved to March 2007. ¦ Action Items and Responsibilities o R.W.
