Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 378-06, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 378-06, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 910, dated May 16, 2006, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Goodfellow
Brothers, Inc.
Goodfellow Brothers, Inc. has constructed new dug out benches with concrete slabs for the Pu`u
Nui Park in Waikoloa. The value of this donation is estimated at $6,500.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifrs or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr., Edward Brown, Region Manager, Goodfellow
Brothers, Inc., P.O. Box 383729, Waikoloa, Hawaii 96738, acknowledging this generous
donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 378-06
and recommends its adoption.
