1 am writing you concerning the proposed Kealakekua land use change: I am pjking.
you to uphold the Planning commissions vote to DELETE General Plane nterim ,

Amendment F-2.
My reason being that our lifestyle in Kona, and soon to be other portions of the island,
are being radically changed by High Density residential planning. It is my firm belief
that proper land use planning requires a commitment to the established community and
that those who wish to On need to adapt to what culture and lifestyle is already in
place. The Kealakekua community is a farm / fishing community that wishes to keep
high density planning in check. Had this been truly considered twenty years ago North
Kona would be better place than it is today. Remember that developers have a
different agenda than residents. Development will continue and there just needs to be
proper guidelines and accountability.
