<br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ~ r_ n ~ <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the 4`~ of July is a national celebration commemorating the adoption of the <br /> Declaration of Independence in 1776; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Lehua Jaycees invited the <br /> public to attend "Blast 2006" an alcohol free, drug free and litter free event, which was held on <br /> Tuesday, July 4, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Mo`oheau Park Bandstand in <br /> Downtown Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS, the American Privateer LI'NX arrived in Hilo Harbor on July 3, 2006. She <br /> was launched on July 28, 2001 and is a replica of a naval schooner from the War of 1812. The <br /> LI'NX mission is to preserve American Heritage through Maritime Education; and <br /> WHEREAS, the entertainment for the 4`~' of July "Blast 2006" included LYNX's Canon <br /> Firing, Hiccup Circus, Ho`okani Pila, Kristopher Fuchigami, Brittni Paiva, Hawaii County Band <br /> and the Lehua Jaycees' Fireworks Exhibition; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds ($2,000) from Council District 4 will be appropriated <br /> towards the 4a' of July "Blast 2006" event at the request of the Department of Park and <br /> Recreation and Lehua Jaycees. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE I"I' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000.00 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-council SVC-Contingency Relief $2,000.00 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $2,000.00 <br /> Culture and Arts OCE <br /> (Contracts - 4`~ of July Blast 2006) <br /> <br />
