SUBJECT: Resolution Directing the Clerk of the County of Hawaii to Take
Necessary Action to Place the Charter Amendment Proposed by
Ordinance No. 06-95 on the 2006 General Election Ballot
The attached proposed resolution, relating to the fire department proposed by
Ordinance No. 06-95, to change the title of the County's fire department from
"Fire Department" to "Hawai`i Fire Department," as the official title of the
department, is hereby respectfully submitted for your favorable review and
consideration.
The proposed resolution is required by section 15-2, article XV, Hawaii County
Charter, entitled, "CHARTER AMENDMENT OR REVISION."
