RE: H-Power Expertise - Mr. Colin Jones

It has come to my attention that Mr. Colin Jones of Honolulu has just retired as the Operations Manager
of the Oahu H-Power Incineration system.
I would like to suggest that Mr. Jones be invited to meet with the County Council and share his mana'o
of twenty (20) years valuable expertise as he guided the Oahu H-Power project through acceptance by
the EPA and DOH and managed its operation until last week when he retired July I'".
Since all three "finalists" for the East Hawai'i waste-to-energy proposals are "incineration" I believe Mr.
Jones will be able to respond to the questions and concerns expressed by members of the Council in
yesterday's Environmental Management Committee.
