Abdul of Hilo who is a lifetime resident of <br /> Hawaii, and since 1978 has been the General Construction <br /> and Building Supervisor of the State of Hawaii Housing <br /> Authority. He is the Chairman of the Board of Unit 2, <br /> HGEA; Vice President of the AFL-CIO; Chairman of the <br /> Central Committee of the Democratic Party; and is <br /> presently a member of the Hawaii County Police Commission, <br /> a seat that he will vacate after December 31, 1997. He is <br /> a Democrat. <br /> • Charles H. Sakamoto of Ka'u is a 59-year resident of <br /> Hawaii, and is a retiree of the Ka'u Agribusiness Co., <br /> Inc. (1953-1996). In the past he has served on the Hawaii <br /> County Water Commission, Planning Commission and presently <br /> sits on the Police Commission, a position he will vacate <br /> after December 31, 1997.
