SUBJECT: Approval of an ordinance to Amend Chapter 11 of the
Hawaii County Code, to Allow 0.5 Credit for Each Rental
Unit Constructed for Qualified Households Earning
100-120% of the County Median Income
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) submitted
an Ordinance to Amend Chapter 11 of the Hawaii County Code, to
Allow 0.5 Credit for Each Rental Unit Constructed for Qualified
Households Earning 100-120% of the County Median Income.
The Hawaii County Housing Agency reviewed and approved the
ordinance at its meeting on July 7, 2006, and voted as follows:
AYES: J. Arakaki, S. Higa, D. Ikeda, V. Isbell,
B. Jacobson, A. Pilago, P. Hoffmann - 7
NOES: None
ABSENT AND EXCUSED: F. Holschuh, G. Safarik - 2
Accordingly, I am requesting that this ordinance be included on
the Council agenda for action at its July 19, 2006, meeting.
