Saxby of the district of Puna, to replace Eddie M. Alonzo <br /> of the same district, whose term will expire on December 31, 1997. <br /> Mr. Saxby is a 44-year resident of Hawaii, and since 1997 has been <br /> the owner/manager of Puna Certified Nursery. He is a member of the <br /> State Agri-Business Development Corporation, the Hawaii Export <br /> Nursery Association, and the Keaau Maintenance Association. He is <br /> presently a member of the Hawaii County Water Commission whose term <br /> will end on December 31, 1997. He is a member of the Democratic <br /> Party. <br /> • Geraldine M. Giffin of the district of Kohala to replace Melvin <br /> Martinson of the same district, whose term of office will expire on <br /> December 31, 1997. Mrs. Giffin is a lifetime resident of Hawaii, <br /> and since 1995 is self-employed as the Manager of Weekender Casual <br /> Wear. Prior to that, she was an educator/instructor with the State <br /> Department of Education (1965-1995). She is a member of the Waimea <br /> Community Association and presently sits as a member of the Hawaii <br /> County Board of Appeals, whose term will end on December 31, 1997. <br /> Mrs. Giffin is a member of the Democratic Party. <br /> If approved, both will serve terms to end December 31, 2002.
