RE: Request for postponement of hearing regarding Bill 251, Draft 2

In regards to the above referenced bill concerning the re-zoning of our land in
Kailua-Kona above Lowe's, we have been working hard on getting the answers to
various questions and issues that were raised at the last hearing, in addition to
meeting with various stakeholders to identify and resolve specific issues.
In particular, our charge to identify the willingness and ability of various adjacent
landowners to work with the proposed Hienaloli-Kahului Road extension and to
address the concerns of the Malulani Gardens' residents have proven more time
consuming than anticipated. We are making progress in these areas but still have
some work to do.
In order to properly address these concerns and address the issues raised by the
Council, we respectfully request a postponement of our next scheduled hearing to
the County Council meeting scheduled for July 19, 2006.
