Reference: Bill 300, Amendments to Chapter 14 of the Hawaii County Code

Dar Mr. Hip and Council Members,
The members of the Kohala Coalition against Drugs are in support of the passage of Bill 300,
amendments to Chapter14 of the Hawaii County Code, as Amended, General Welfare.
It is in the best interest of the public to provide all residents of Hawaii County with a safe and
enjoyable environment when utilizing our beaches and beach parks. Passage of this bill will
prevent incidents of violence, desttuctiion, and mayhem by individuals under the influence of
alcoholic beverages against other citizens and park facilities.
The Coalition respectfully requests that your consideration when deciding the fate of Bill 300.
