As You lmow, Jacoby Development was picked by the Department of Hawaiian
Home Lands (DHM) and the D%wtmect of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR)
to develop an expended harbor and a mixed-use project including resot%
commercial and retail activities. Not only will the Kom community get the
expanded harbor they have been requesting for many yeses, but this development
will provide much needed hands to DHHLL to support new housing projects for
nadve 1lawa ku. and to DLNIt to fwd resource protection and safe boating
access to the oosen for our community.
Please include in your General Plan amendments the designations necessary for
this public-private patorship to be dedimed and developed. This includes the
`urban expansion" you are reoammeadiaa, as well as a `YasorY' designation. As
the DMIL and DLNR have decided, this project will used to include a resort
component to be succesdW.
I have met with Tim Jacoby and his team on several occasions end I belleve they
have the skills sad experience to do a high quality development wbicb will
w iD& Aa M. improve quality of lift by helping to solve some of the growth related problems
