SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
MIDDLE KE`EI ROAD AT PAINTED CHURCH ROAD
PROPOSED 3-WAY STOP
Residents along Middle Ke'ei Rd. and Painted Church Rd., are requesting a three-way stop at
this intersection because of sight distance restrictions.
Existing sight distance for motorists entering Middle Ke'ei Rd. from Painted Church Rd. is 120 ft.
right and 170 ft. left. Intersection sight distance requirements for 20 mile per hour speed are
222 ft. and 276 ft. for 25 mile per hour speed.
The proposed 3-Way Stop will be a temporary measure until intersection improvements are
completed under Engineering Division's CIP.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you
