Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred
Communication No. 947 reports as follows:
Communication No. 947, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated June 19, 2006, submits for
confirmation the appointment of Wendall Kekumu of Council District 5 to the County of
Hawaii Veterans Advisory Committee, representing Veterans of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Kekumu is a 16-year resident of Hawaii who is retired. He is not affiliated with any
political party. Mr. Kekumu's term will expire on December 31, 2010.
Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Communication 947 and recommends a confirmation of the appointment of Mr.
Wendall Kekumu to the County of Hawai`i's Veterans Advisory Committee.
