RESOLUTION NO. 426 06
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the tables and chairs currently used at the Kea`au Community Center
were purchased in 1985 and are over 20 years old; and
WHEREAS, there aze only 53 chairs and 10 tables that are still useable as the others
are broken and need to be replaced; and
WHEREAS, the existing tables that are in use are made of pressboazd and have
masking tape holding the edges together; and
WHEREAS, the tables and chairs at the Kea`au Community Center aze heavily used
by the Parks and Recreation's class participants as well as the community; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds ($8,200) from Council District 3 will be
appropriated for the purchase of 20 folding tables, 152 folding chairs, and 3 chair trucks at the
request of the Department of Parks and Recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set
forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Pazks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
