Re: Resolution for a multi-year lease
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for one (1) copier for the Department of Parks and Recreation. Their current copier,
which lease expires in November 2006, has been experiencing numerous paper jam
problems. It is expected that a new copier will improve the productivity and efficiency of
the staff of the Parks and Recreation's Administration office.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Parks and
Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
To be able to enter into a 5 year lease agreement for a copier for the Parks and Recreation's Administration
Office with vendor contingent on Purchasing's process through the State of Hawaii bid list.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The current copier's five year lease will end in November, 2006. The current copier is used by the
Administration office and division offices that do not have copiers. Paper jams have been occurring more
often in the multiple document feeder and the paper feeder. Entering into a new lease agreement will
improve the productivity and efficiency of the office staff.
