RE: A Resolution requesting the Mayor to enter into negotiations with the Governor and the
Board of Land and Natural Resources to amend Executive Order No. 3665 to reflect a
change in public purpose for State Lands set aside at Kealakehe from a Kealakehe
wastewater reclamation field and North Kona golf course to a Kealakehe wastewater
reclamation field and Kona regional park.
For your consideration, I have prepared a resolution to request the Mayor to enter into
negotiations with the Governor and BLNR to amend Executive Order No. 3665 to reflect a
change in public purpose for State lands set aside at Kealakehe from a "Kealakehe Wastewater
Reclamation Field and North Kona Golf Course" to a "Kealakehe Wastewater Reclamation Field
and Kona Regional Park" to provide a wider variety of recreational opportunities for the people
of West Hawai'i.
