Subject: SUPPORT FOR RESOLUTIONS BEING HEARD ON JULY 19TH, 2006
Aloha council members,
Mahalo for holding the meeting in Kona and giving us, the full time residents a chance to participate in the
meetings.
We plan to attend the meeting, however for the sake of time have decided to send our support for the following
resolutions being heard at this meeting.
My husband and I support Res. 381-06, calling for a pause in rezonings until Dec.31, 2006 or until the CDP is
adopted, whichever occurs first. We really would like to see the pause in effect until the CDP is in place.
Res.402-06 calling for Council meetings in Kona, we support that whole heartedly.
Res. 410-06 To declare that the Save Our Lands committee petition has enough signatures to be place on the
November ballot. We support this, lets not end up like Maui, Kauai and Oahu, this island is special, it needs to be
preserved in its natural state. If this is not done now Hawaii island will be like any other place. The beautiful
vistas, shoreline views from the highway, all will be lost forever.
We support Bill 300 to amend the county code to ban alcohol from all county parks.
