Subject: Open Space acquisition
Dear Councilor,
We are writing to urge your support for putting the 2% open space
aquisition on the November ballot. There has been a great deal of
citizen support for this measure. We believe now is the time to aquire
as much land as possible for ourselves and the keiki to follow. It is a
legacy to leave our grandchildren. These special places are quickly
disappearing. The 2% will allow for quicker acquisition. The costs will
only continue to increase and when the current funds are available the
land that is desired will no longer be available.
Please also consider clarifying the petition process. We might have
been two of the names eliminated because we left off the Avenue on our
address.
We are unable to attend the July 19th council meeting. Please consider
placing this issue on the November ballot.
