RE: Attached Resolution supporting; the efforts of NACo's Joint Center for
Sustainable Communities
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to Resolution No. l RRSupporting the
efforts of the National Association of Counties' Joint Center for Sustainable Communities and
calling for the development and implementation of public policies and planning strategies which
promote sustainability throughout the County and State, waiving said resolution from the
Committee on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
