RESOLUTION NO. 434 436
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06, Draft 4, Amending Resolution No. 99-05, Rules of
Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, Relating to Meetings was
duly adopted by the Council on August 1, 2006; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06, Draft 4 provides that effective January 1, 2007, the
County Council shall hold an equal number of Committee and Council meetings in East Hawaii
and in West Hawaii, subject to the Council's approval of adequate personnel, equipment, and
support services to comply with statutory, legal, and processing deadlines; and
WHEREAS, in order to implement the new meeting schedule, funding is necessary to
hire additional personnel and purchase new equipment; and
WHEREAS, the amount of Eighty-four Thousand One Hundred Dollazs ($84,100.00)
has been determined to be the approximate cost for such additional personnel and equipment
purchases; and
WHEREAS, Council Members Bob Jacobson, Virginia Isbell, and Fred Holschuh have
agreed to contribute Nine Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($9,345.00) toward these
expenses; and
WHEREAS, Council Member K. Angel Pilago and Pete Hoffmann will shaze equally in
funding the remaining two-thirds of these expenses and will contribute Twenty-Eight Thousand
Thirty-Five Dollars ($28,035.00), respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
