RESOLUTION NO. 443 ~6
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, Resolution 402-06, Draft 4 was adopted on August 1, 2006 by the Council
of the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 402-06, Draft 4 requires an equal number of Committee and
Council meetings in East Hawaii and in West Hawaii, subject to the council's approval of
adequate personnel, equipment, and support services to comply with statutory, legal and
processing deadlines; and
WHEREAS, to comply with the intent and will of Resolution 402-06, Draft 4, adequate
funding will need to be appropriated to account for the following costs:
• (2) two clerk position
• (1) one additional County vehicle
• Laptop computers for traveling staff members
• (2) two workstations for (2) two new positions
• (2) two transcribers for (2) two new positions
• Desks, workspace and other essential items for (2) two new positions; and
WHEREAS, the money transferred from the Legislative-Contingency Relief account to
the Clerk-Council Svc OCE will be utilized to account for the previously described expenses
related to increasing the number of committee and council meetings convened in West Hawaii.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forwazd a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
