RE: Discretionary Funds (District 7)
Discretionary funds from District 7 will be used to provide funding to facilitate West Hawai'i
Council and Committee meetings pursuant to Resolution 402-06, Draft 4. The additional West
Hawai'i meetings will require addition personnel, equipment and other required operating costs.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $9,345.00 from the Legislative - Contingency
Relief account to the following account and project:

RE: Resolution No. 443-06 Regarding transfer of Contingency Relief Account
Monies from District 1 Account to Clerk-Council Svc Oce to be expended on cost items
required for increased Committee and Council meetings in West Hawaii.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
