Re: Donation to the Fire Department
Enclosed is a resolution accepting the donation of a 2005 Ford F363 Ambulance to the
Hawai'i County Fire Department. This ambulance, with a total estimated value of
$152,305.24, is being donated by the Ocean View Community Association, P.O. Box
6016, Ocean View, Hawai'i 96737. It will be assigned to the Hawai'i Ocean View
Estates fire station and will provide emergency medical services primarily to the Ocean
View geographical area.
Because the community association is extremely anxious to have this ambulance be put into
service immediately, for the projection of the persons and property in the Ocean View area,
the Hawai'i County Fire Department would like to request a waiver from the Finance
Committee and have this resolution heard at the Council meeting scheduled for
September 7, 2006.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Fire Department.

an ambulance from the Ocean View Community Association to the County of Hawaii
Fire Department.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be

this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
Sincerely,
