This ambulance, with a total estimated value of $152,305.24, is being donated by the Ocean View Community Association, P.O. Box 6016, Ocean View, Hawai'i 96737. It will be assigned to the Hawai'i Ocean View Estates fire station and will provide emergency medical services primarily to the Ocean View geographical area. Because the community association is extremely anxious to have this ambulance be put into service immediately, for the projection of the persons and property in the Ocean View area, the Hawai'i County Fire Department would like to request a waiver from the Finance Committee and have this resolution heard at the Council meeting scheduled for September 7, 2006.
