Dear Council Members,
I will keep this brief as you will be hearing plenty of testimony and a lot of repetition.
I would simply like to state that I am in favor of preserving Puapua'a. For years I have
asked people about that land but never found out what it was or who owned it or even the
name. I saw the heiau and knew it must be special but worried that one day it would be
developed. Please ensure that that doesn't happen. There are so few places on Alli
Drive where the view of the ocean isn't blocked out by condos or homes. I don't know what
the plan would be for Puapua'a (a passive park?) but I think it is so important to have
these pockets of open space amongst all this development.
