Support Concurrency and Temporarily Stop Rezonings and Subdivisions Page 1 of 1

Murashige, Laura

From: Janice Palma-Glennie [palmtree7@earthlink.net]
Sent: Sunday, August 20, 2006 10:31 PM
To: county council testimony

Subject: Support Concurrency and Temporarily Stop Rezonings and Subdivisions
Importance: High

Attention: Finance, Human Services and Environment committee
Tuesday, August 22nd
Comm. 998 (Bill 318)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE 2, DIVISION 4, SECTION 25-2-44, HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(2005 EDITION) RELATING TO CONDITIONS ON CHANGE OF ZONE.
Aloha Committee Chair and members:

I'm writing to support concurrency legislation. Though I feel this legislation could be fine-tuned to provide more protection from
over- and too rapid-development on the island, I feel that it is, at least, a good start. And long overdue.
Mahalo to Councilman Pete Hoffman for coming to West Hawaii's rescue by introducing something sooner than later to help
deal with excessive and premature development approvals.
Best regards,
Janice Palma-Glennie
PO Box 4849
Kailua-Kona, HI 96745

a

Comm.
