SUBJECT: Resolution Transferring Funds ($28,035.00), Dra 3
Draft 3 of this funds transfer resolution clarifies that it was Draft 4 of Resolution No.402-06 that
authorized the new Council meeting schedule, in the first and second "whereas" clauses, as
follows:
"WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06, Draft 4, Amending Resolution No. 99-05,
Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, Relating
to Meetings was duly adopted by the Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06, Draft 4, provides that effective January 1,
2007, the County Council shall hold equal number of Committee and Council meetings
in East Hawaii and in West Hawaii, subject to the council's approval of adequate
personnel, equipment and support services to comply with statutory, legal and processing
deadlines; and"
Draft 3 of this funds transfer resolution also deletes two "whereas" clauses which make
reference to contributions from Council Members other than the maker of this resolution,
Council Member Pete Hoffmann, as follows:

Discretionary funds from District 9 will be used by the Council Services Division of the
Office of the County Clerk to hire additional personnel and purchase new equipment, in
order to implement the new meeting schedule adopted by Council Resolution No. 402-06,
Draft 4. Resolution No. 402-06, Draft 4, provides that effective January 1, 2007, the
County Council shall hold an equal number of Committee and Council meetings in East
Hawaii and in West Hawaii.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of funds ($28,035.00) from the
Legislative Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:
