A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06, Amending Resolution No. 99-05, Rules of
Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, Relating to Meetings was
duly adopted by the Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 402-06 provides that effective January 1, 2007, the County
Council shall hold equal number of Committee and Council meetings in East Hawaii and in
West Hawaii, subject to the council's approval of adequate personnel, equipment and support
services to comply with statutory, legal and processing deadlines; and
WHEREAS, in order to implement these equal meetings, additional funding is necessary
to cover the cost of hiring additional personnel and purchase of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the amount of Eighty-four Thousand One Hundred and No/100 Dollars
($84,100.00) has been determined to be the approximate cost for such additional personnel and
equipment purchases; and
WHEREAS, Council Members Bob Jacobson and Virginia Isbell have each agreed to
contribute Nine Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($9,345.00) toward these costs; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Pete Hoffinann has agreed to contribute Twenty-Eight
Thousand Thirty-Five and No/100 Dollars ($28,035.00); and
WHEREAS, Council Member K. Angel Pilago has agreed to fund the remaining costs
and expenses and contribute the amount of Thirty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty and
No/100 Dollars ($37,380.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
