SUBJECT: Resolution No. 423-06, Draft 2
We request that you replace Resolution No. 423-06 with the enclosed Draft 2 of this same
resolution. This resolution is scheduled to be heard at the County Council on September 7, 2006.
This resolution, authorizing the Department of Public Works to enter into a multi-year lease for
five (5) years for the land parcels identified as TMK: (3) 8-1-12: 05 & 06, in Kealakekua, South
Kona, Hawaii, was introduced at the August 22, 2006 Finance Committee meeting. During its
discussion, a discrepancy to the lease agreement was brought to our attention. Draft 2 makes the
following changes to the lease agreement;
1. Clearing-up a matter of consistency between Items 2(b) and 3(b); and
2. Including a signature page for our County Officials to sign that we inadvertently left out.
With these changes taking place, the lease agreement outline shifted, and needs to be resigned.
