VV Oiy <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 9G0 06 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> <br /> YEAR AND MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR AMULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br /> <br /> REAL PROPERTY FOR THE LEGISLATIVE RESEARCH BRANCH AND THE <br /> REPROGRAPHIC DIVISION AT 333 KILAUEA AVENUE IN HILO <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year and <br /> more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk finds that it must move out of the County <br /> Building due to the massive capital improvements being proposed by the Department of Public <br /> Works related to reroofing improvements and asbestos removal; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council finds that uncertainty of the construction <br /> period, and the unknown schedule for phasing each of the eight wings during the capital project <br /> warrant a planned move of its employees to a publicly convenient, environmentally safe and <br /> comfortable work place; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Legislative Research Branch and the Reprographic Division will need <br /> the additional office space for its operations; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds budgeted in the current fiscal year to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the lease agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council wishes to enter into a five (5) year lease with <br /> BF Hilo Partners for approximately 2,516 square feet of office space located at the 333 Kilauea <br /> Street, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, at an approximate cost of $4,201.72 per month, including taxes. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for <br /> office space for the Hawaii County Council at 333 Klauea Avenue, Hilo, <br /> Hawaii, 96720. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated <br /> obligations of the County under the lease agreement. <br /> <br />
