RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 419-06, Draft 3, requesting the Department of Reseazch and
Development and Its Economic Development Committee to Prepare a Hawaii County Energy
Sustainability Plan was duly adopted by the Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 419-06, Draft 3, requests the Director of Research and
Development to submit a draft Hawaii County Energy Sustainability Plan to the Hawaii County
Council within twelve (12) months of the passage of that Resolution and the final Hawaii
County Energy Sustainability Plan within eighteen (18) months of the passage of that
Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development has an existing contract with
The Kohala Center for a project that will provide a framework for the transition of Hawaii
Island to the full use of renewable resources for the production of electrical energy and
transportation power; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development has requested a total
allocation of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) for fiscal year 2006-2007, to support the
development of the Hawaii County Energy Sustainability Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall
forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director
of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers
in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
