Good morning members of the County Council, Residents of Hilo and fellow HGEA.
members. I like to thank you for the opportunity to hear my testimony in support
of the negotiated pay package.
My name is Albert Yoshida. Currently employed by the State of Hawaii, Department of
Transportation, As a Harbor Police Officer.
I represent a large group of Goverment Employees here and around our state that are
HGEA. Unit #3 members. Hard to belive, But I am a Unit #3 member, Not SHOPO.
During your last session on the pay package, A question was asked on position titles
that would be mostly affected. Answer was Clerks and clerical staff,
In majority this maybe true, but it affects many other positions in our Goverment.
For example, My position and many others.
This pay package was negotiated in good faith and money for this pay raise has been
budgeted. Please support this pay package.
