meeting agenda and communications for Councilmembers' review.
Comm. 993: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE ] 0, SECTION 24-264
(Bi11317) OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION) AS AMENDED,
RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (proposing a temporary three-way stop
at the Middle Ke`ei Road and Painted Church Road intersection)
From Public Works Director Bruce C. McClure, dated July 18, 2006, transmitting the
above bill. Residents along Middle Ke`ei Road and Painted Church Road are
requesting athree-way stop at this intersection because of sight distance restrictions.
The proposed three-way stop will be a temporary measure until intersection
improvements are completed.

Comm. 1034: A RESOLUTION URGING THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO SUPPORT
(Res. 438-06) TIGHTENED AGRICULTURAL INSPECTIONS FOR INCOMING CARGO AND
PASSENGERS TO HAWAII
From Councilmember Bob Jacobson, dated July 31, 2006, transmitting the above
resolution, which demonstrates the desire of the Hawaii County Council to support
efforts that address the prevention of continued introduction of alien species to
Hawaii. States that ending the continued introduction of alien species to Hawaii is
crucial for the overall health of our economy, environment and native and endemic
species of flora and fauna.

Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means
"any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or
$275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative
action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section
2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code} Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available
