Tv w <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII : • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • <br /> ~•h~oi~M~~~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. !1~' <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, a $3,800 appropriation will be used by Friends of the Park, on behalf of the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation, to fund the installation of a community mural at the Kohala <br /> Pool; and <br /> WHEREAS, the nine-foot by twelve-foot mural was created by over 200 students at <br /> Pa`auilo, Honoka`a, Waimea, and Kohala Elementary Schools; and <br /> WHEREAS, the mural depicts Hawai`i's volcanoes, atmospheric layers, forest birds, and <br /> undersea world as seen through the eyes of the children who painted it; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has accepted the donation of this <br /> community mural and selected a suitable location at Kohala Pool to display the artwork; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds will be used to weatherproof the mural and install it in an attractive wood <br /> <br /> frame for permanent display at the pool; and <br /> WHEREAS, the mural will enhance the appearance of the Kohala Pool and serve as a source <br /> <br /> of pride for the youngsters who created this artwork when they see it on public display at their <br /> <br /> community pool. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth <br /> below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> <br /> APPROPRIATION: $3,800.00 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $3,800.00 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5503.39 Department of Pazks & Recreation $3,800.00 <br /> Friends of the Park <br /> (Kohala Pool Mural) <br /> <br />
