<br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 484 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF TAX MAP KEY: (3)7-6-013:017 AS A <br /> REMNANT PARCEL. <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is the owner of that certain parcel of land, being <br /> Lot 1, between Kailua-Keauhou Road and Kailua-Keauhou Middle Road, at Holualoa 1st and <br /> 2nd, North Kona, Hawaii, further identified as Tax Map Key: (3)7-6-013:017; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lot 1 is roughly triangular in shape, contains an area of 1.002 acres, and <br /> more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on Exhibit "B" attached; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii acquired the parcel on January 6, 1969 from <br /> L. S. Dillingham, C.W. Cazlsmith, B.F. Dillingham, and Donn W. Cazlsmith, for the proposed <br /> Kailua Fire Station site; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1973, the County constructed a new Kailua Fire Station on Palani Road; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii does not have plans to utilize Lot 1 for any of its <br /> programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the parcel is economically or physically unsuitable or undesirable for <br /> development or utilization as a sepazate unit by reason of its location, size, shape, or other <br /> characteristics, in accordance with Section 2-110(3), Hawaii County Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the adjoining landowner, Inter Pacific Motors, Inc., has expressed an <br /> interest in acquiring this parcel; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proceeds from the sale of this pazcel maybe used to fund other Kona <br /> initiatives; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County Council may authorize the director of finance to dispose of <br /> remnant lots pursuant to Sections 2-111 and 2-118, Hawaii County Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County Council previously authorized the sale of this pazcel under <br /> Resolution 104-03 (Draft 2), which is superseded by this resolution. <br /> <br />
