RE: A resolution authorizing the sale of Tax Map Key: (3)7-6-013:017 as a Remnant Parcel.
For your consideration, I have prepared a resolution authorizing the sale of Tax Map
Key: (3)7-6-013:017 as a Remnant Parcel.
The County of Hawaii is the owner of that certain parcel of land, being Lot 1, between Kailua-
Keauhou Road and Kailua-Keauhou Middle Road, at Holualoa I" and 2"d, North Kona, Hawaii,
futher identified as Tax Map Key: (3)7-6-013:017.
The County of Hawaii acquired the parcel on January 6, 1969 from L.S. Dillingham, C.W.
Carlsmith, B.F. Dillingham, and Donn W. Carlsmith, for the proposed Kailua Fire Station site.
In 1973, the County constructed a new Kailua Fire Station on Palani Road and no long has plans
to utilize Lot 1 for any of its programs. Tax Map Key: (3)7-6-013:017 is a remnant parcel as
defined in Section 2-110(3), Hawaii County Code, and the finance director is authorized to sell
the parcel pursuant to Section 2-118, Hawaii County Code.
