Aloha Mr_ Mga and Council Members:
I coach volleyball at Ka'u Nigh School. and know how much Kawa means
to all the children of Kau. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places on
the island, with its heiau, table top mountain views, fresh water ponds arm hire of
the only surf spots.
My family and friends have camped there since T was an infant. We grew up
knowing this place and always thinking it would be here for us. Memories of my
dad throwing net there are stall with me. We would take our dinner there, swim in
the pond.:, fish on the shore and watch the beautiful Ka'u starry sky at night.
It remains a place for this kind of family activity and should be retained for
the people of Ka'u_ Please help preserve Kawa.
I am sure that community people would volunteer to help the county.
Mahalo Nui Loa,
