Dear Mr. Hayashida '
Currently, the Hawaii County Legislative Auditor's office is in the process of researching
noise abatement measures pertaining to the f3ilo [nternational Airport. According to their
findings, the latest Noise Compatibility Program proposed by the State Department of
Transportation recommended three noise abatement measures and seven noise mitigation
measures.
1 understand that the recommendations, as approved by the Federal Aviation Administration,
do not constitute the State implementing actions. However, l would like to know which
recommendations have been implemented to date, and if any recommendations have not yet
been implemented, I would appreciate the reasoning for such decisions.
