RESOLUTION NO. 46'7 (a ~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, a $2,500 appropriation will be used to purchase equipment, including two-
way radios, bullhorns, emergency vests, flashlights, and beacons, for the Hawaiian Paradise Park
Emergency Notification and Evacuation Team; and
WHEREAS, this $2,500 appropriation will be administered by the County of Hawaii
Civil Defense Agency, which will grant the funding to the Hawaiian Paradise Park Owners
Association, a Hawaii non-profit organization, to purchase the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the funding will be used to benefit the public by increasing the safety and
welfaze of residents of Hawaiian Paradise Pazk during emergency conditions, including the
prevention of the loss of life from tsunami, hurricanes, fire or severe weather.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth
below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Administrator of the Civil Defense Agency and the Director of Finance and that
the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
