Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Paulette V. Pavao of Council District 3 to the
County of Hawai'i Environmental Management Commission. Ms. Pavao is a
13-year resident of Hawai'i. She recently retired after working 13 years for the
Department of Education as a special education teacher. Ms. Pavao is a
member of Open Arms MCC, and a past member of the First Church of Religious
Science and Pahoa SCBM.
Ms. Pavao states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed,
she will serve a term to end on December 31, 2011, replacing Mr. Sam
Kawamoto whose term will expire on December 31, 2006.
