Dear Council members,
Mahalo for supporting Councilman Hoffmann's resolution requiring Hawaii Superferry to
perform an EIS prior to commencement of service.
It seems quite evident that Hawaii Superferry will have a tremendous impact on many aspects
of our environment, and the questions regarding additional tax revenue that will be needed to
help support this venture need to be answered. An EIS will address all these concerns.
Thanks again for joining Maui and Kauai County Council members in assuring that if Hawaii
Superferry moves forward, it will do so responsibly.
